Hospitality & Retail
We design and adapt spaces for cafés, restaurants, shops and other hospitality settings, bringing together architectural character, customer experience and the practical requirements of everyday use. Our work ranges from new interiors to the careful adaptation of existing premises, often within historic buildings.
We are interested in how materials, light, furniture and detail contribute to the atmosphere of a place. Each project responds to the identity of the business and the qualities of its setting, creating spaces that are welcoming, durable and carefully considered.
Approach
Successful hospitality spaces must work for both customers and the people operating them. We consider the arrangement of counters, equipment, seating, display and storage alongside circulation, lighting and the wider architectural design.
Existing buildings often provide a strong starting point. We look for opportunities to retain and reveal their character, introducing new materials, joinery and fittings that complement the setting. We favour durable, tactile materials and carefully considered details, working with specialist designers and makers where appropriate.
How We Work
We provide architectural and interior design services, from initial feasibility studies and concept design through planning permission, listed building consent, building warrant and technical design, with construction-stage services where commissioned.
We work closely with clients, contractors, specialist consultants and other designers to develop proposals that balance architectural quality with the operational, statutory and commercial requirements of each project.
