North Berwick Planning Application
We’ve recently submitted a planning application for the sensitive retrofit of an historic villa in North Berwick.
Our proposals take a retrofit-first approach, upgrading the home to modern standards of comfort and efficiency while carefully preserving its character within the North Berwick Conservation Area.
The works include discreet photovoltaic panels with battery storage, a new air source heat pump system and electric vehicle chargers, alongside targeted fabric upgrades to improve energy performance, thermal comfort and everyday efficiency.
Together, these measures will reduce reliance on fossil fuels, lower long-term running costs and help future-proof the home against the challenges of a changing climate.
Each intervention has been designed to be reversible and respectful of the original architecture, ensuring the property continues to contribute positively to its historic setting while supporting the client’s ambition to embrace a more sustainable way of living.
